"Black in Black & White" goes to Athens

The portrait, ‘Freckled Gaze’ from my series, “Black in Black & White” will be exhibited at the 1st B&W Athens Photography festival from February 4 - 7, 2023 in Athens, Greece.

Following the exhibit, the photographs will be moved to the Department of Photography of the University of Athens.

That portrait has been highly regarded by curators and collectors — an edition of it also sold over asking at the Houston Center for Photography Annual Print Auction in March 2022!

B&W Athens Photography is organized by Blank Wall Gallery and the Municipality of Athens. which granted the premises of Serafio for the realization of the Festival.

I am one of 350 photographers from 76 countries who will have work exhibited at the event. According to Blank Wall Gallery, "the large number of artists who participated, even though the Festival is being organized for the first time, gave us the opportunity to select the most valuable digital and analog photographs, always aiming to present Black and White Photography in the best possible way."
